on shaky ground (revised)

Okay - here is why my house was shaking so much yesterday.

See where that line of rubble is next to the dirt trench?
That is the edge of my house.
There are actually scratches on the brick from the claw thingy.

I was a bit surprised when I hung my head out of the window and saw that our path to the alley was gone. So was the guy who rents the garage. And so was the woman who works for my landlady.
