This little rose tree (a gift from Kim) almost died. I cut it back and then this happened! I have never had this kind of success with a plant before. When they start to die, they die.

Waiting for Dad at the Sunnyside Cafe. Travelling from Mimico to the SC is like falling thru a time warp. In Mimico, it looks as if little has changed since the mid-50s. The SC plays horrible classic rock that is giving me that flashback to the late 70s you get at the CNE.

12 days after it arrived, the poo left the alley. Yay.

The poo has been spread all over the yard of the house where I live and the yard next door. Boo.

I can leave the windows open and be in the yard but every so often, when the wind and sun are right, a big smelly waft fills the air. Gag.

Right now - it is quite stinky out there. Boo.

My Mum says that the smell should die down by next Sunday when she is coming over for lunch. Yay.

fido update

Well - Fido cares. A little bit. Finally.

My new phone arrived this afternoon and seems to be working and C_____ called from the president's office. C_____ was very pleasant and non-accusatory. He did not threaten me. He did not make weird and incomprehensible excuses. He seemed fair, honest and to be concerned that my experience with Fido be a positive one. Plus he is giving me a 3-month credit.
