for maria
Hey Maria ~
Here is was what was happening while we trying to talk
on the phone.
It had been quiet for a bit since the roofers finished at 2ish
so I decided to risk it and call you.
Of course, as soon as I dialed out, wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........
He was making lines like this in the cement.
And these lovely patterns on the plants. Very arty.

the plot thickens
At 7ish this a.m., this appeared.
And then this new Dalektite creature.
Then Dalek 3.0 sprouted some kind of cord or arm or ...?
Then this guy showed up to inspect.
I think he has found some tracks or scat or ...?
He calls in another expert,
but expert 2.0 seems just as puzzled.
The experts are applying some heat to a couple of the Dalek 2.0s.
So far 3.0 has survived but they did manage to shrink it to about 1/2 its former size.
I feel so sorry for the inspectors. Most people are enjoying the Simcoe Day holiday but the inspectors are ever vigilant and will not rest until they have secured the safety of the planet.

things i do not understand
Yesterday they replaced the little path between the coach house and the garage that they shattered at the beginning of this adventure.Every couple of hours, starting at 7:45 a.m., my neighbour watered the new cement. Why, you ask? I do not know. Perhaps that is something one does to new cement.
During one watering, I had come in to make coffee and he watered my journal.
Why, you ask?
Again, I must reply that I do not know.
invasions
Remember this.
Now it is this. See how the pear tree has grown.
Also that the Dalek cousins are still there.
What do they want?
I still don't know but today this crop circle appeared.
This llama happened by to help us understand the scale of the circle.
And before you exclaim, "A llama in Toronto! That is preposterous!"
please note that our neighbourhood is also home to two flamingoes.Toronto attracts species from all over the planet ... and beyond.

home again
The shell of the garage has been built.
It is breathtakingly huge. I rode home from the station last night. I came up the alley and could not see my house - the peak of the roof used to be really prominent but last night I could not find it. A new landscape. I'll take some photos later.
Buddy is on the roof right outside my window.

for flora
Flora asked for some context.
The little red brick house is where I live.
Pretty nice, eh?The empty space behind the pear tree is where the south crew is working. You could probably see it better if I took a picture from the south but I cannot get into that yard.
That white brick structure behind the white wood garage is where the north crew are working.
