My Mum worked at the Royal Naval College at Greenwich when she was a WREN. She joined the WRENs because she wanted to learn to drive a truck but they made her serve meals to the officers in The Painted Hall instead. She did not stay too long but while she was here, this was her route. The officers ate on the raised area. You can see the current staff preparing for an event in the old officers' area. Everyone else ate in the larger area below. In the photo the tables are on angles but when my Mum worked here the tables were in long rows lengthwise down the room.
The last picture is of my Mum's home when she worked here. Her bedroom window is upstairs on the far left.
